Our SLG board serves as a forum for senior state and local government business executives to discuss strategic issues in the SLG marketplace and provide guidance to TechAmerica staff on its SLG programs and offerings and its public policy positions. The Board governs four Task Groups: The SLG Board Mission/Strategy Task Group, which focuses on emerging issues and technologies in the SLG market; the SLG Board Procurement Task Group, which focuses on reforming IT contract terms and conditions and procurement practices; the SLG Board Health IT Task Group, which focuses on accelerating the implementation of technology in the state and local government healthcare sphere; and the SLG Board Events Task Force which provides guidance to staff at TechAmerica on the types of events the association should host. Directors are elected to the board for two year terms.
