Internet Program

The Internet Commerce & Communications (ICC) division has a long and effective record in representing the information technology industry on legislative and regulatory issues affecting the "networked economy" in both federal and state forums. This role is especially vital given the information technology industry's dependence on telecommunications resources, and the convergence of technology and content made possible by innovations like broadband and IP networking. The division works to encourage the deployment of new technologies with fair access and at competitive rates. Division member companies offer their customers information, electronic commerce or other enhanced services using computers or telecommunications. Member firms provide solutions such as: Internet, Intranet, telecommunications, electronic commerce, data-processing and network-based information services. Other division members are financial service companies, such as venture capital, mergers & acquisition and payment processing firms.
