VoIP Event Banner

Lawmakers and law enforcement agencies have pressured the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to make VoIP (voice-over-internet protocol) companies provide "911" emergency service to customers. Coupled with concerns about whether VoIP can really be counted on to replace the traditional emergency response capabilities of public switched networks, are questions concerning how vulnerable VoIP transmissions may be to attack. Is this technology safe and reliable?
