Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By using itaa.org you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. This is not legal advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship — not with the International Trial Attorneys Association, and not with any attorney or firm mentioned or linked here. Our articles describe litigation in general terms. Law varies by jurisdiction, changes over time, and turns on facts we do not know. Deadlines to bring a claim can be short and unforgiving. If you have a legal problem, consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction about your own circumstances.
Case results described here are specific to those cases. Past results do not predict or guarantee the outcome of any other matter.
3. Accuracy
We work from primary sources and correct errors when we find them, but we publish no warranty that the site is accurate, complete, or current. Litigation moves; an article accurate on its publication date may be overtaken by later rulings.
4. Outbound links and attorney profiles
We link to law firms, attorneys, courts, agencies, and news organisations. A link is not an endorsement, a referral, or a certification of competence, and we do not control or vouch for what appears on a site we link to.
Attorney profiles and directory listings are editorial. We choose subjects ourselves. No fee is charged or accepted for a profile, a listing, or a link. Inclusion is not a rating, a ranking, or a statement that one attorney is better than another.
5. Content and permitted use
Articles, images, and design on this site are ours or licensed to us. You may read, print, and share links freely, and you may quote briefly with attribution and a link. You may not republish substantial portions, or scrape the site to train a model or build a derivative dataset, without written permission.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the site to break the law, to post unlawful, defamatory, or infringing material, to send unsolicited commercial messages, to probe or disrupt the site or its infrastructure, or to harvest personal information about other users.
7. Submissions
If you send us a tip, correction, or comment, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in our reporting. Do not send confidential or privileged material — a message to us is not privileged and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
8. Copyright complaints
If you believe material here infringes your copyright, send a DMCA notice through the contact page identifying the work, the URL, your contact details, a good-faith statement, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorised to act.
9. Liability
The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of it or reliance on anything published here.
10. Changes and governing law
We may revise these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
